Members of the GWIN Executive Committee will be meeting on January 21, 2015 with Kirsty Duncan, the Liberal Status of Women Critic, to discuss improving women’s participation and addressing and identifying obstacles to women’s full participation in the economy.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Christmas Fundraiser. With 60 attendees and over 100 gifts to bid on we raised over $1,100 for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis. We also filled a car full of donations of personal items and toiletries for the shelter residents this Christmas season.
Congratulations to Rebecca Gordon, Hotel and Food Administration Major, Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Guelph. Rebecca is the recipient of the 2014 GWIN $1,000 scholarship.
