GWIN Exhibits at the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce Business Expo 2017
2017 Business Expo
The Guelph, Cambridge and Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chambers of Commerce bring businesses together from the Tri-City area every year for a large scale exhibitor event.
This year’s event was held on October 17 at Bingeman’s Conference Centre, Kitchener from 2-7 pm. With over 200 exhibitors and 1500 + attendees, this hugely popular event boasted another successful year.
A very diverse group of companies and organizations, ranging from media, building trades, automotive and food, had booths at the event. All were extremely eager to share their information with interested participants. It was a great opportunity for networking, learning about different products and services, and getting to know more about local suppliers.
Local restaurants and caterers provided samples of their delicious specialties. Other exhibitors had fun, interactive displays and even a few superheroes were on hand for photo opportunities.
This year, GWIN’s booth was well-located near an entrance to Marshall Hall. Our volunteers handed out GWIN information and answered questions from the numerous visitors. We also encouraged attendees to enter our gift basket giveaway.
Many attendees sought out the GWIN booth for more information, having visited the booth in previous years or were curious to know more about our organization.
Our goal is to educate and build relationships among members. We also foster engagement and fellowship within the community. By building awareness within the community, we can attract and continue increasing our membership.
Public Relations Coordinator, Cathy Kelly delivered the gift basket prize to the lucky winner, Yvonne Bowes. Thank you to all entrants and to members who generously donated items for the gift basket.
“As a GWIN volunteer and a first time attendee, I realized the five-hour event was not nearly enough time to visit all the booths that I wanted. Next time, I will plan an earlier arrival to ensure I’ll be able to visit more exhibitors. It was a wonderful experience for a first year GWIN member and I highly recommend this expo to my colleagues and other local business owners.” said Lynda Dennis, GWIN member and Travel Specialist at NorthStar Travel and Associates.
This annual event showcase the success of businesses and business owners throughout the Tri-Cities area. Thank to the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce for organizing this wonderful event. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
*Booths are available for purchase by chamber members only. The event is open to the general public and admission is free.*
