President’s Message: Welcome to GWIN 17/18!

Greetings GWIN Members,

I’m thrilled to be writing my first President’s Message!

First, I would like to thank Past President Julie Hurren for her commitment, passion and excellent leadership of GWIN for the past year. Thanks also to the amazing and talented Exec Team for dedication and hard work last year.

This year we again have an AMAZING Executive Team who are all thrilled to be on the Executive and looking forward to a successful year.

This coming year is another big one for GWIN. We have lots of exciting and inspiring events, plans on the go. Stay tuned for more details……

As always, we are continuously on the lookout for your comments, recommendations, speaker ideas and thoughts about how to make GWIN even better.

September 12th is the date of the first meeting for this season! Carla Berquó (another GWIN Past President and awesome woman) will talk about the importance of your Tribe to help you feel connected and have a sense of belonging. Hope to see you there http://gwin.ca/speaker-series-170912carla-berquo-engaging-with-tribes/

I’m very honoured and grateful to be your President this year. I have to admit, however, that it is a little daunting when I think of the talent, leadership, commitment and passion displayed by past GWIN Presidents. Upon reflecting on this I came across a helpful quote that I hope will help you too as you approach fulfilling your life purpose:

“Cultivate your talents and burnish them as brightly as you can” Roderick Kidston

P.S. If you have not yet liked the GWIN Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GuelphWomenInNetworking/ or followed us on Twitter, https://twitter.com/GWIN_PR please do! We’d love to keep in touch and promote GWIN and your business/interests!

See you in September!

Moragh
